Exile Gaming is a place for players exploring the frontiers of gaming and faith.

Or should I say the ‘no man’s land’?

That rocky,  blasted, embattled place where our churches imply, or flat out decree, that gaming is suspect. Some say it’s OfTheDevil but most are more subtle even though we feel it in their gaze. “Oh, you play video games. Isn’t that…something.”

Or that place where our teammates hear about our faith and raise an unironic eyebrow, ‘Really? Still?’

Don’t let your hearts be troubled…this has all happened before.

All the same things have been said, over and over, any time a new cultural medium  comes into its own power.
> They feared young women were reading too many novels in the 1800’s.
> In the 1930’s the big Bible schools said, “We’d rather our [writing] students went directly to Hell than to stop in Hollywood along the way.”
> In the 1950’s Elvis’ rock and rolling hips terrified ‘concerned parents’.
> And in the 1980’s those same Elvis lovers grew up and wigged out in a Satanic Panic that made Dungeons & Dragons a Congressional issue.

This too shall pass.

Exile Gaming exists to show how gaming and faith HAVE gone together, DO go together, and will KEEP going together as gaming continues its unstoppable ascent to be the most influential medium in world history—the “Hollywood of tomorrow” as we like to say.

Even more we exist to show the haters how Jesus followers have crushed it in the market, lead the charge, and are training the next generation to change the world through this remarkable medium.
…Maybe that’ll include you!
